Root Galaxy Music Duos Gt-S6012 on XXUBMK1 Firmware

After Trying Lot of Exploits and Applying Previous Rooting Mechanics I Have finally Figured out on How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Music Duos Gt-s6012 on its Latest Jellybean 4.1.2 XXUBMK1 Firmware Build.


The Rooting Tool Used in this Method is Made By Bi4ry an XDA Recognized Developer ,Thanks to Him.

On the Previous Firmwares there is a Simple Method to root this Device.. There are Two Methods for rooting the Previous Firmwares - The first Method is Rooting By Using Shaume Software , And Now There is a One Click Rooting Tool Called Cydia Impactor. 

So Before Proceeding to the Rooting Guide Read this :-
Note: As You Know Rooting Must be Done Very Carefully and The device's Warrantly will be Void After Rooting the device. you need to Unroot the Device to get it back. So Proceed With Your own Risk.

Requirements :-

Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v33: [New Root for some newer Xperias by cubeundcube]

Download the Above Software from the Two Links Below

How To Do :-


1.) Download the attached file.

2.) Now Extract it using 7zip or Winrar.

3.) Double click the RunMe.bat and follow the instructions !

You Will Get the Window Like in the Above Image.

4.) Now Choose the first Option ie "Xperia Root By Cubeundcube".

5.) Follow the Instructions Now And Click on Restore My Data Button Which You Get on Your Device Screen. (See the Below Image).

6.) That's it Now Your Device Will Restart And You Will See the Super User App is Pushed into Your Mobile. that Means Your Mobile is Rooted and You're Done..

If You Still Want to Make Sure if your device is rooted then Install Root Checker App from play Store..

7.) If You Found Your Device Slow Then Try Restarting the Device and it will be Okay After Sometime..

Android 4.1.2 Jellybean XXUBMK1 Latest Firmware for Samsung Galaxy Music Duos

The Device Has Now Slowly Getting Jellybean Firmware. Recently Samsung Rolled Out Jellybean for Baltic Users of this Device.

Although We Can Install Jellybean on this Device if We are Not From Baltic. Just By Using Odin...



But Samsung has Started Rolling Out a Minor Software Update to This Device. The Latest Firmware is Now s6012 XXUBMK1  and the Baseband Version is S6012XXUBMK1 .

To Get this Minor Update To Your Samsung GMD Device. Follow the Below Instructions:.

1.First Make Sure that Your WiFi Connection is Stable.
2.Now Head Over to Settings .

3.Under Settings Menu Tap the "About Device" Option Which is Present At the Bottom of the Menu.

4.Then Tap The "Software Update Button" Now You Will Find Update Option Under the Menu. Then Click On the Update and the Device Starts Connecting to the Server.

5. Now Don't Go Away.Just Stay for a While Until the device Starts Inquiring the Required Packages ..

6. Then the Device Starts Downloading the Software Update Files .. The File Size is of Some 38.90 MB. Very Small. It Doesn't Matter Actually. After Downloading the files. the Device Says System Will Be Rebooted. Then tap the "OK" Button.

7.Now Your Device Will Be Rebooted and it takes Some time to Start the Device For the First Time.
So Stay Calm Until the Device starts and it Will Say Update Successfully Applied. That's It now Your device is Upgraded to a Newer Firmware.

Those Who Cannot update the Software Via Wifi , Just Connect Your Device to Your PC and Open Samung Kies and Head over to Firmware Upgrade and Initialization Menu. It Will Download the Software Automatically and your Device Will be Updated.

Those Who Dont Want to Upgrade Software Through kies. You Can Use Odin and Flash the Firmware. Just Download the Firmware From Here

Now After Downloading the Firmware. Just Extract the Rar File And Open Odin. Now Select Auto Reboot ad F.Reset time and Select the .PDA and Select the Tar file i mean the Firmware which you've Downloaded. Now Click On Start and in a Couple of Mins Your Device Will be Flashed and it'd be Updated to latest Version..

With the Rolling Out of this Small firmware Update. We Hope Samsung Will Release Planned Jellybean 4.1.1 Upgrade to the Device Very Soon.

There Have Been many People Asking for and Searching for the Rooting Method of the Device So Called "Samsung Galaxy Music Duos (Gt-S6012)". Well there are Many  of the Android device rooting Techniques, But Only Two Methods are Working for this Device.

2.Now Download and unzip Cydia Impactor to your Computer

3.Now Go to Developer Options and Enable USB Debugging  ( Settings>Developer Options>Move Slider to Enable >Tick USB debugging)..

4. Now On your computer, Run Cycia Impactor. 

5.Now Click on that Start Button and Wait until the Program Completes.

6.That's it Now Your Device is Rooted and Install SuperSu App from Play Store. You Can Also Check Root Status By Using Root Checker application

Focal Camera App Comes To Google Play As A Free Beta

the developer of CyanogenMod's Focal camera app decided to pull it from the open source ROM. Now Guillaume Lesniak (AKAxplodwild) has dropped Focal into Google Play for anyone to use. It is compatible with most newer devices, but it is a beta.

  

The app currently has support for multiple still and video modes including burst, timer, scenes, and shutter speed on some devices. It also has PicSphere, an open source replacement for PhotoSpheres. As for panoramas, that mode is a little broken right now – feel free to give it a shot, though. Focal can also do HDR and filters in still photo mode.

 

There are likely to be a few more small bugs in Focal right now, but it should be pretty stable on newer phones. Focal is open source, so you can grab the source code at Github, if that's your thing.

Nestle’s German Kit Kat Page Apparently Confirms Android 4.4 Release for October

We knew it was coming soon, but since we all know nothing is ever confirmed until posted by Google, release dates for phones and OS updates are always up in the air. Apparently, Nestle’s German-based Kit Kat page that hypes the upcoming Android release, outed that Android 4.4 will be available starting in October. No word on a date within that month, but this aligns with all the other reports and rumors that have been floating around. 

When translated from German, it reads as the following – “Android 4.4 KIT KAT is available in October.”

Given that the folks at Nestle are probably quite in tune with Google’s plan, considering the company will be hypebeasting the Google’s name choice for Android 4.4, we will stick with the month of October being the best time to look for its release. Now all we need is a specific date.

It’s likely Google will host some type of event to unveil and showcase Android 4.4 (and maybe even a new Nexus device or two to go with it), so it should be a pretty exciting month for Android lovers.
